The Clinical Board is the key leadership group for clinical issues across the organisation. The Clinical Board are also responsible for the Quality Programme within the Provider arm of TDH. The Board meets monthly and clinical staff have a representative on the group

The Clinical Board is currently chaired by the director, and is a multi-disciplinary committee, which directly advises the Chief Executive on clinical matters. Further information on the Clinical Board is as follows:

The Clinical Board's vision is to lead, develop and promote best clinical practise within Tairawhiti District Health.

The function of the Clinical Board is to:

• Provide clinical leadership
  
• Lead the development of clinical governance
  
• Oversee the quality programs within the provider arm of TDH
  
• Advise the Board and Chief Executive on clinical issues
