Quality
The Chief Executive's Office coordinates and provides overall executive strategic and operational management and leadership of the organisation. It also co-ordinates the communication management. Professional advisor's to the Chief Executive include the Professional Nursing Adviser, the Maori Health Manager and the Medical Director. The Clinical Board is a multi-disciplinary committee, which directly advises the Chief Executive on clinical matters.
Clinical Board
The Clinical Board's vision is to lead, develop and promote best clinical practise within Tairawhiti District Health. The function of the Clinical Board is to:
- Provide clinical leadership
- Lead the development of clinical governance
- Oversee the quality programmes within the provider arm of TDH
- Advise the Board and Chief Executive on clinical issues
- Manage, via sub-committees , specific portfolios of:
- Medicines and Therapeutics
- Control of Infection
- Medical Appointments
- Medical Credentialling
- Lab Users
- Quality and Risk Management
- Clinical Records
- Clinical Practise
- Resuscitation
- Maternity Services
- Quality Use of Medicines
- Oversee the development and monitoring of a range of clinical performance indicators
- Promote best clinical practise within Tairawhiti District Health
- Lead management of clinical risk within TDH
