14 September 2011
Tairawhiti District Health in partnership with Health Workforce New Zealand (NWNZ) is once again offering scholarships to Māori health workers who do not have a professional qualification but wish to pursue training in the health and disability sector.
The scholarship assists with funding for course registration and travel for level 3 – 7 programmes excluding degrees.
This training will support the non-regulated workforce to develop formal competencies in their current roles, and develop their potential to move into other health sector roles as relevant.
The deadline for applications is 31 October 2011.
To find out more please read the information booklet and 2012 application form.
HWNZ Hauora Mãori Scholarship application forms are also available from Nursing & Quality Services, Ward 10, Gisborne Hospital.
Alternatively, please contact: Jenny Simson, tel: 06 869 0500 ext 8558, email: Jenny.simson@tdh.org.nz or Private Bag 7001, GISBORNE.
